  • Dance Visions Network offer classes for beginners through advanced students
  • Student Ages:  2 1/2 through Adult
  • Three State of the art full size dance studios each with viewing windows for family and friends to observe classes
  • Classes begin in September and run till the middle of June. Summer classes, camps and intensives are also offered

Ballet:  Ballet classes are the foundation for dance. Ballet develops poise, control, grace and beauty.  Through coordinated movements students learn balance and muscle control.  Our ballet classes implement the Russian style syllabus.  Students will learn proper ballet vocabulary and technique enabling them to develop and improve as dancers.  Our ballet program also offers lyrical dance training with an emphasis on self-expressive dance through motion and music.

Pointe:  Pointe is offered to our serious ballet students ages 12 and over who have developed sufficient strength and proper ballet technique.  Students must be evaluated by the faculty prior to placement in any pointe class.

Contemporary:  Contemporary dance classes at Dance Visions are a combined curriculum of modern, postmodern and lyrical, often utilizing improvisation, floorwork, partnering and performing in bare feet. Lyrical as a dance style in itself is defined in part by a fusion of ballet and jazz, demanding technical skill, musicality and an expression of emotion. A solid, ballet-based technique, proper placement and bodily alignment are essential components.

Jazz/Hip Hop:  Students are able to experience current dance trends and movements such as video dancing and hip hop, as well as learning the art of traditional jazz with a focus on developing flexibility, turning and leaping. Students will dance to current up-tempo music while continuing to develop a technical approach to dance.

Tap:  Students are taught rhythm and movement to all styles of music.  Students focus on achieving clear rhythmic sounds of the feet and ankles while controlling upper body movement.  Tap classes aim to develop muscle coordination and motor skills.

Tumbling:  This is a great class that allows dancers to work on improving and learning new tumbling techniques that will help to enhance their dancing.
