Class Descriptions

At Dance Visions Network we strive to maintain a polished and professional atmosphere throughout the studio and among our dancers.  We ask that each student strictly adhere to our dress code policy in an attempt to maintain a professional environment.

 

We ask that students not wear dance shoes outside of the studio and similarly, no outside shoes are allowed to be worn in the studios.  Cover-ups should be worn outside of the studio to protect the dancer's dance attire.

 

Please refer to the below dress code for specific class instructions.


 

1/2 Hour Ballet, Jazz and Tap (under 8yrs old)

  • A solid color leotard with or without skirt attached
  • Pink ballet pink tights and pink ballet slippers/black patent leather tap shoes.
  • Hair is to be pulled back off of the dancer's face.

45 min & 1 Hour Ballet/Pointe
  • A solid black leotard, black ballet skirk
  • Pink ballet pink tights and pink ballet slippers/black patent leather tap shoes.
  • Hair is to be pulled back in a bun with bobby pins (harinets required for performances)

Contemporary Classes

  •  Any solid color leotard is to be worn along with dance shorts.
  • Foot Undies (tan for performances)
  • Hair is to be pulled back off of the dancer's face and worn in a neat ponytail or bun.

Tap Classes (45 min) 
  • Any solid color leotard is to be worn along with dance pants or shorts.
  • Bloch Black lace up tap shoes are to be worn.
  • No outside shoes are to be worn for class.
  • No t-shirts or tank tops.
  • Hair is to be pulled back off of the dancer's face and worn in a neat ponytail or bun.

 

Jazz Classes (45 min & 1 hr)
  • Any solid color leotard is to be worn along with dance pants or shorts.
  • Foot undies may be worn for class - however we are transitioning to tan Jazz Booties (So Danca Carmel) which will be required for performances
  • No outside shoes are to be worn for class.
  • No t-shirts or tank tops.
  • Hair is to be pulled back off of the dancer's face and worn in a neat ponytail or bun.

Boys

  •  Boys should wear comfortable clothing appropriate for class.
  • No jeans or outside shoes are to be worn in the studio.
